Resources for WordPress Themes

One of the selling points for individual bloggers to go with WordPress over any other blog platform is WordPress’s community. The community that contributes to WordPress in many different ways: some help out in forums, others write plugins, and many design themes (also called blog designs). And your favorite magazine is…?

entrepreneurI have only one. It’s called Entrepreneur. The magazine is somewhat pricey at $15, but it’s full of blog reviews, in fact all 140 pages of it, there are also some tips on how to start your own blog, as well as blogging etiquette – what you should, and shouldn’t do in the blogosphere.

Every other person I talk to asks the million dollar question — which blog platform do you recommend, WordPress or Movable Type? First of all it’s nearly impossible to describe and list the features of both applications in a single blog post. There are many books published on Movable Type and WordPress, and in the end it all comes down to personal preference, specific needs, the server you are on, and even budget. Before I go ahead and recommend one or the other let me briefly introduce you to both of them, and tell you what I think.
